Four directors, four areas of expertise — the team behind every Graykon project.
Graykon is built on the combined strength of four directors, each bringing a distinct area of expertise. Together they cover the full spectrum of what it takes to design, build, deliver, and support custom software for small and medium businesses — strategy and sales, technical architecture and development, client support, and finance.
Provides the strategic direction and commercial leadership of the company — owning company strategy, sales, marketing and brand, client relationships, and client-facing project delivery from scoping through sign-off and account management. This leadership is backed by decades of combined technical and business experience across the team — the foundation behind Graykon's continued success.
Sets the technical direction and standards for everything we build — owning architecture, technology and vendor selection, delivery planning, and the mentoring of the development effort. Responsible for app and web development, cloud hosting, app store releases, DevOps and CI/CD, security, POPIA technical controls, and performance. Underpinned by decades of enterprise and solution architecture experience, advanced qualifications in computer science, industry architecture certification, and hands-on cloud strategy across Azure, AWS, and GCP.
Collectively, the team also brings strong database expertise — spanning database design, data integration, ETL and data warehousing, and business intelligence and reporting — combined with the strong communication and relationship-building skills that support every client engagement.
Keeps clients supported and confident. Acts as the first point of contact for support, manages the support channels, logs and triages tickets, upholds the response times promised in our subscription SLAs, and follows up after delivery to gather feedback and ensure satisfaction — a level of dedicated service that sets us apart from solo freelancers.
Keeps the business running smoothly behind the scenes — managing invoicing and collections, bookkeeping, monthly cost tracking (including per-app cloud costs against subscription revenue), cash-flow monitoring, and financial reporting, so the business stays healthy and every client engagement remains sustainable.
